Franco Ferretti, our founder, opened a small workshop, using the basement of his paternal grandfather’s house.
We move to our current location in San Polo di Torrile (PR) and insert transformation lines for integrated production, packaging and automatic handling systems. From this moment we are able to produce corrugated cardboard sheets and transform them into boxes. Sandra becomes a leader in the sector at a national level.
Cart-One is born, the joint venture that allows us to extend our services throughout the Italian territory.
Our business consolidates and, in order to better satisfy the requests, we open a new production pole in Mezzani (PR).
The Italian Cart-One alliance crosses national borders and lands abroad. We form a partnership with three other large and successful foreign companies: Klingele Papierwerke GmbH & Co.KG (Germany), VPK Packaging Group (Belgium), Hinojosa Packaging Solutions (Spain). Today we are part of BBP Partners. This cooperation enables us to meet the demands of customers throughout Europe.
The “Digital Sandra” project is born. We insert in our machine park, next to the already existing flexographic printing machines, the Nasikajet line with very high technological content, specialized in digital printing.
The company name Sandra changes to FEPA SpA, an acronym for Ferretti Packaging. In a phase of generational change, we choose to consecrate the importance of the centrality of the Ferretti family also through a momentous change of the company name. A new name that represents us in a modern and consistent way according to our current character.
We are a structured organisation constantly expanding. Our team actually counts 450 employees working in the two plants: San Polo (36,000 sq.m.) and Casale di Mezzani (45,000 sq.m.) with a total production capacity of 400 million sq.m. per year. 10% of our turnover is invested every year in innovation, technology and training.
